A Year of Starcraft II

And It Begins

A few hiccups overcome and I am currently downloading the SC2 client.  And while technically it is almost the 9th, my days blend together strangely so it will still be the 8th for me for about four more hours.  As soon as the game downloads, I will begin my year of Starcraft II.

Updates, updates, updates…

And here I go.

This is going to be awesome! The great thing about StarCraft is that it rewards you for the time you put into it. I feel like I learn something every time I play a game, even when I lose. You’re going to have a good year.

i can’t wait until you start playing! make sure you put everything on here! strategies that are working for you, builds, what you think of the races, what you thought of the campaign. how you think you’ve been improving. EVERYTHING!

Serious props for letting reddit pick your hobby…

read your few posts and added this blog to my bookmarks… I am a casual (read: horrible) sc2 player, and I am curious as to your improvement over to year… from a n00b to hopefully pr0 🙂

For the chairs.. I am a 6’6 fellow with back problems….
I took to bedpost risers under my desk legs to give it an 8 inch boost in height.. and I replaced the level piston (not sure what this is called, the rod that determines chair height) with a taller one to bring my chair up to stool height… Would not look back… its so nice having my feet firmly planted on the floor at a 90* angle from the chair…

    Anywho, im drunk and ramblin’

    GOOD LUCK!

Really proud of you man. Don’t let the stress of 1v1 get to you. Just continue to play the game and you will get better. GL and HF!!

I’ll be more than happy to give you a hand. I’m pretty adept at teaching newer players. Give me a shout if you could use a hand.

Oh and try not to spend too much time in the practice league. That place breeds bad habits as it is very unlike the real game. Maybe play a few games until you get a build down.

I almost don’t want you to receive any extra coaching/assisting. You said you were a regular guy, and not many regular guys get this kind of response when they game. I sorta see this social experiment as, “What if I bought sc2 and played it for a year.” If Reddit had chosen fish lure making as your hobby, I doubt you would have this kind of offering for help.

I’m interested in how far you can go, on your own, with your skillz. But it’s your blog.
